Steven Berkoff directed Richard II at the Ludlow Festival, followed by performances at the Festival de Almagro, near Madrid, Spain in 2005.

The cast included Timothy Walker as Richard, Joseph Millson as Bolingbroke, Michael Cronin as Gaunt, Paul McLeary as York, Julia Tarnoky as Queen Isabel and Lisa Sadovy as the Duchess of York.
